An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, right? That is exactly right when relocating. Planning right is the best stress reducer. There are other tips to minimizing stress and anxiety.

  1. Plan Correctly
    Take time weeks before your move and make a list of all of the things that will need to be accomplished during the move. Get as much done before the move as possible. Try to assign the items to responsible parties who will be aiding in the move. Do your shopping for moving products and services well in advance so you are not scrambling later.

  2. Stick to Your Schedule
    Create a schedule and stick to it. Use our recommended schedule and alter it to fit your needs. Hold others to your schedule to if possible.

  3. Hire Help
    Whether you pay for the help of family and friends with pizza and coke or you pay a full service professional moving company try to hire some type of help. Analyze your budget and determine if you have money to be spent on hired help.

  4. Find Baby Sitters and Pet Sitters
    Your job is much easier if you don't have to look after someone during the move. Have someone sit for you while you are in the heat of the battle.
